The University of Chicago collaborates with the New Communities Program (NCP), a program that supports comprehensive community development in 16 Chicago neighborhoods, among them Woodlawn, Washington Park, South Shore and the Quad Communities of Grand Boulevard, Kenwood, Oakland and Douglas. NCP is a project of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation of Chicago (LISC/Chicago). LISC uses a wide array of financial products, investments and technical assistance to help neighborhoods get what they need to build vibrant communities.
