Tutoring & Enrichment

Each year, hundreds of University students. staff, and faculty conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions that unlock the excitement of learning for thousands of area schoolchildren. Enrichment programs spark students' interest in subjects as diverse as ancient civilizations and international relations.

For example:

  • The Model United Nations at the University of Chicago brings more than 1,800 high school students to campus each year to explore international relations and politics through simulated diplomatic situations.
  • Read-to-Me pairs college students with preschool children in area housing projects for literacy projects.
  • Oriental Institute outreach programs include an award-winning partnership with the Chicago Public Schools that focuses on the ancient Near East.
